On the First day of June in the Year of our Lord 1836 Personally appeared Griffith Griffiths and alledged that Catherine Griffith of Mochras in the Parish of Llanbedr in the County of Merioneth, Widow, died in the Year of our Lord 1835, Intestate, without making any Will, that this appearer is the lawful son, and next of Kin of the said deceased, Wherefore he prays that Administration of all and singular the Goods, Chattels, and Credits of the said Deceased be granted to him on giving the usual security.
Let Administration pass as prayed to the said Griffith Griffiths, he being first personally sworn upon the Holy Evangelists as the law directs, and that the whole of the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in Value to the sum of One hundred Pounds.

Letters of Administration of the personal estate and effects of Griffith Griffiths late of Gwynfryn in the Parish of Llanbedr in the County of Merioneth, farmer, deceased, who died 27 May 1870 at Gwynfryn aforesaid, were granted 28 June at St. Asaph to Jane Griffiths of Gwynfryn aforesaid, widow, the relict of the said deceased, she having been first sworn. Effects under £800. 3

Griffith married Jane Roberts, daughter of Robert Roberts of Penisa'r cwm and Sarah Morris, on 30 Dec 1835 in Llanenddwyn, Merioneth, Wales. (Jane Roberts was born about 1811 in Llanenddwyn, Merioneth, Wales and died on 13 Mar 1900 in Mochras, Llanbedr, Merioneth, Wales.)
