The Will of John Lloyd Llechwedd Du Bach, Gentleman, written 28 May 1812, proved 13 Jan 1813.
In the Name of God Amen. I John Lloyd of Llechwedd du bach in the Parish of Llandanwg in the County of Merioneth, Gentleman, being mindful of my Mortality but of sound Mind and Memory, blessed be God, do, on the Twenty Eighth day of May in the Year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and twelve, make and published this my last Will and Testament in the Manner and Form following—
Imprimis
I give and bequeath unto my eldest son John Lloyd all my messuage with the appurtenances situate in the Parishes of Llanfair and Llanbeder, called and known by the Name of Cwmbychan, to have and to hold to him my said son John Lloyd, his heirs and assigns forever. Subject nevertheless to and charged with the sum of Eighty Pounds; which Sum I give and bequeath unto my Youngest Daughter Dorothy Lloyd. Also I give and bequeath unto my Eldest Daughter Jane Lloyd the sum of one hundred Pounds. Also I give and bequeath unto my Youngest Daughter Dorothy Lloyd before mentioned the Sum of Twenty Pounds to be paid her by my Executors herein after mentioned.
Also I give and bequeath unto my Wife Alice Pryse and my youngest Son Rees Lloyd all my messuages, Lands, Tenements with the Appurtenances, situated, lying and being in the Parish of Llandanwg, called and known by the Names of Llechwedd-du bach and Llechwedd Goleu to have and to hold to their Heirs and Assigns for ever.
Also I give and bequeath unto my said Wife Alice Pryse and my Youngest Son Rees Lloyd the Lease upon Cwmbychan Tenement bearing date the 12th day of January 1802 to and for their use and benefit.
And I do hereby nominate constitute and ordain my Wife Alice Pryse and my Youngest Son Rees Lloyd Co-Executors of this my last Will and Testament, to whom I give and bequeath the rest and residue of my personal Estate both moveable and immoveable whatsoever, but if in case my said Wife Alice Pryse shall marry, then I give her only the Sum of five Pounds, and my Youngest Son Rees Lloyd and Sister Dorothy Lloyd the Sum of one hundred Pounds each.
And I do hereby nominate my trusty Friends John Lloyd of Dinas in the Parish of Llanfair and Robert Jones of Err-wen in the Parish of Llandanwg Trustees of this my last Will and Testament; Earnestly desiring of them to see this my last Will and Testament fully and faithfully fulfilled and performed.
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written.

On the third Day of January in the Year of our Lord 1813 the within written Will was insinuated, proved, approved and in common Form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to one of the within named Executors Alice Pryse alias Lloyd she being first sworn in common Form of Law and that the whole of the Goods, Chattels & Credits of the said deceased do not amount in Value to two Hundred Pounds. Power being reserved for Rees Lloyd — the other Executor therein named to take upon him the Execution thereof, whenever he shall demand the same, before me
