These are to certify, that Edward Prior, son of George Prior and Mary Prior his wife, who was daughter of John Hulbert, was born in Prescot Street in the parish of Saint Mary White Chappel in the county of Middlesex this twenty fifth day of December in the year 1775, at whose birth were present Wm Complin, E Complin (birth record).

In June 1808 Edwd Prior was present at the marriage of his sister Mary Prior to Richard Hayward Alexander in Lewisham St. Mary.
In 1814 Edward was a beneficiary of his father's Will, receiving his farm called . . . . . . . in the parish of Halse, as well as his farm at Whitewick in the parish of Stogursey, and his farm at Stoke Hill in the parish of Stoke St. Mary. Also received his father's six shares in the Commercial Sale rooms . . . . . . . Lane, along with £4,000.
In April 1815 Edward Prior was present at the marriage of his sister Amelia Prior to Thomas Bearda Batard in Lewisham Kent.
At the time of the 1851 England Census Edward Prior, aged 70, born in London, retired merchant, was living at 48 York Terrace, Marylebone London.
