William Henry Parker, late of Camden, formerly of Merrylands, died aged 93 years.
William married Vera O'DONNELL, daughter of Maurice John O'DONNELL and Margaret REYNOLDS, on 27 Jul 1927 in St. Paul's Church of England, Emmaville, New South Wales, Australia 1. (Vera O'DONNELL was born on 8 Feb 1903 in Emmaville, New South Wales, Australia 3 and died on 28 Apr 1992 in Merrylands, Sydney, N.S.W., Australia 4.)
A wedding of much interest was celebrated at St. Paul's Church of England, Emmaville, on Wednesday last, when Miss Vera O'Donnell, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. J. O'Donnell, of Emmaville, was married to Constable W. H. Parker, of Deepwater. The Vicar (Rev. C. E. Hulley) officiated.
The Bride, who was attended by her sister, Miss A. O'Donnell, entered the church on the arm of her father, who subsequently gave her away. Little P. Milton, a niece, acted as trainbearer. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. E. O'Donnell as best man. Dr. R. B. Lynch presided at the organ.
The church had been beautifully decorated with golden wattle and gum tips, by the friends of the bride. A reception was held at "The Bungalow," the residence of the bride's parents, where the usual toasts were honored.
Mr. and Mrs. Parker left by car for a three weeks tour of the coastal districts." 5
