MIRFIELD TEACHER
The death has taken place of Miss Jessie Mary Oates (67), of Huddesfield Road, Mirfield, principal of the Mirfield High School for Girls. Miss Oates, a native of Heckmondwike, went to Mirfield over 25 years ago when, with her sister, the late Miss Ethel Oates, she founded the school.
