In March 1641/2 Geffrye Gartrell of Breage took the Protestation Oath.
In February 1660/1 Jeffry Gartrell was the sole executor and residuary legatee of his father's will.
In 1664 Jeffrey Gartrell paid 4 shillings tax for 2 hearths.

In the name of god Amen I Jeoffry Garter of the p'ish of Breage in the County of Cornwall being Sick in body but of perfect mind and memory praised be Almighty God for the same do ordaine this my Last Will & Testament (revoking al other) in manner and forme following
Imprimis I give and bequeath my soul unto almighty God . . . . . . . & my body to the earth in Christian burial.
It. I give unto my Grandson Wm Garter one young heifer of twelve months old.
It. I give unto John Garter one Ewe hogget.
It. I give unto Katherine Garter one Ewe lamb of twelve months old.
It. I give unto Thomas Garter one Ewe lamb of twelve months old.
It. I give unto the children of my son-in-law Thomas Pearse twelve pence a peece to be pd them By mine Executor within one year after my death.
It. I give unto the children of my son-in-law George Williams twelve pence a peece.
It. I give unto Elizabeth the wife of George Williams my daughter the sum of five shillings.
It. I give and bequeath al other my goods and chattells not given nor bequeathed unto my son-in-law George Williams whom I do nominate and appoint my whole and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Twenty second day of April Anno Dni 1679.
