In May 1849 Mercy Morris was present at the marriage of her sister Margaret Morris to Edwin Winser in Eastbourne Sussex.

At the time of the 1851 England Census Mercy King, aged 24, born in Eastbourne Sussex, and husband Thomas King, aged 28, born in Eastbourne, brazier & tinman, were living in South Street, Eastbourne.

In 1854 Mercy was a beneficiary of her father's Will.

In Apr 1859 Mercy King of South-street Eastbourne, widow, was co-executor of the Will of her late husband Thomas King of Hailsham, ironmonger.

On 23 Jun 1860 Mercy King and Henry Dennis were present at the marriage of Mercy's brother Walter Morris to Jane Shoesmith in Eastbourne Sussex. Mercy and Henry were married on the same day.

At the time of the 1901 England Census Mercy D Slocombe [sic], aged 74, born in Eastbourne Sussex, widow, was with her daughter Mercy J Slocombe and her family at 29 Lewes Rd., Eastbourne Sussex.
