On the 22nd day of April in the year of our Lord 1839 personally appeared Louisa Owen and alleged that John Owen late of Towyn in the Parish of Towyn in the County of Merioneth died in the year of our Lord 1839 intestate, without making any Will; that she this appearer is the lawful widow and relict of the said deceased. Therefore she prays that Administration of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased be granted to her on giving the usual security.
A bond of £863 was paid by Louisa Owen of Towyn, widow, Edward Owen of Tyn y Cornel in Talyllyn, farmer, and Griffith Jones of Dolgellau.
Let Administration pass as prayed to the said Louisa Owen, she being first personally sworn on the Holy Evangelists, as the law directs, and that the whole of the goods, chattels, and credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to £450. 4
