Abstract of the Will of The Reverend Anthony Poole, Rector of Mallwyd, written 13 Oct 1773, memorandum 25 Mar 1779, codicil 28 Oct 1782, proved 26 Feb 1783.
Leaves & bequeaths an amount of £500 towards the maintenance of his younger children; that is, £250 to his son Anthony and £250 to his son Hugh.
Refers to an amount of £300 empowered to him by his marriage settlement, and directs that it be equally divided between his infant grandchildren Richard Poole, Mary Poole and Anne Poole.
Names his grandson Owen Anthony Poole, elder brother to Richard Poole above.
Gives & bequeaths £50 to his cousin Anne Tudor, spinster, as a tender gratuity for her care and trouble in managing his household, also leaving to her a set of tea drinking china, furniture to be chosen by herself and also his large trunk now in the bedchamber above the kitchen in Cae Nest.
All the rest and residue of his personal estate he leaves to his eldest son Richard Poole Esquire, whom he nominates, constitutes & appoints sole executor of his last will and testament.
