Research Notes:
Fifth son of William Lewis Anwill, esq. of Park..., was educated at Shrewsbury school, and entered twice with his brothers Edward and Evan, on 20 Feb. 1620-1 and 1 June 1622. In 1636 he was taxed 4s. for ship-money on an assessment of 20s. upon lands in Tal-y-llyn.
He occurs as plaintiff in pleas of debt against Edward Nanney of Cerrig-y-velyn, Llanfihangel-y-pennant in 1635, and against his father and others for £280 in 1641. In 1662-3 and 1665 he was taxed on three hearths in Tal-y-llyn and one in Camlan, and 8s. on an assessment of 20s. in 1663-4, upon lands for two parts of the subsidy. Either he or his son of the same name was a Commissioner in cases pending at the Merioneth Sessions in 1681. A legatee in the will of his brother Richard Anwill of Park in 1684, he probably died soon after. 1
