Writing his Will in Dec 1833 George Roods of Hastings, gentleman, named his sister Jane Roods as a beneficiary.

In Jun 1843 Jane Roods was a witness to the Will of her sister Maria wife of David Matthews of St. Alphage in the city of Canterbury.

The Will of Jane Roods late of the Parish of Westham in the County of Sussex, spinster, deceased, who died 29 March 1865 at the said Parish, was proved 30 May at the Principal Registry by the oaths of Henry Crowhurst Roods of Westham aforesaid, M.D. and William Edward Roods of Malling in the said County, esquire, the brothers, the executors. ⁴
