At the time of the 1911 England Census Sarah C Huggett, age 26, born in Eastbourne, mother of 1 child, and husband of 2 years Albert Huggett, age 32, born in Brighton, plumber, were living at 31 Whitley Road Eastbourne. With them was son Arthur Burfield Huggett (1) of Eastbourne.

In the 1939 Register Sarah C Huggett (b. 26 Mar 1885), boarding-house proprietor, and husband Albert Huggett (b. 15 Nov 1878), licensed caterer, were living at 123 Bourne Street, Eastbourne. At the same address were [children] Muriel A Huggett (b. 20 Aug 1911), single, book-keeper hotel, Joan M Huggett (b. 6 May 1921), single, apprentice hairdresser.
