In 1612 Edward Painter was sole executor of his father's Will and was bequeathed his house, barn and land in Whitedick in the parish of Hailsham.
In Feb 1614 Edward Paynter of Haylsham, glover, was a surety in the issuing of a marriage licence to his sister-in-law Eve Akehurst and James Hewitt.
In Jul 1623 Edward Paynter of Hailsham, glover, was a surety in the issuing of a marriage licence to his niece Joan Thrapson and John Akehurst.
