At the time of the 1851 England Census Ann Davis, age 23, born Etchingham Sussex, and husband Daniel Davis, age 24, born in Wadhurst Sussex, ag lab, were living in Pook Pitt Cottage, Wadhurst. Visiting were Mary A Newick (4) of Etchingham, and Sarah A Davis (16) of Wadhurst.
At the time of the 1861 England Census Ann Davis, age 33, born Etchingham Sussex, and husband Daniel Davis, age 34, born in Wadhurst Sussex, carter, were living in Round Wood Cottage, Salehurst Sussex. Four of Ann's brother John's children, Thomas, Mary Ann, William and Harriet were living with her and her husband.
At the time of the 1881 England Census Ann Davis, age 53, born Etchingham Sussex, and husband Daniel Davis, age 55, born in Wadhurst Sussex, waggoner, were living in London Barn, Ticehurst Sussex.

Emigrated to Boston, Massachussetts, USA from Queenstown, Ireland and Liverpool England on 15 May 1885 aboard the ship Scythia, traveling with her husband Daniel, Sarah Newick (age 21, spinster)* and William D. Newick (age 3).

* The only possible Sarah this could have been was the youngest daughter of her brother Henry Newick by his first marriage (b.c. Dec 1862).

At the time of the 1910 U.S. Federal Census Ann Davis, age 82, born in England, and husband of 62 years Daniel Davis, age 82, born in England, farmer, were living in Newington town, Rockingham, New Hampshire. With them were adopted son William D. Newick (27) of England, home farm laborer, and his wife Mary A. (28) of Ireland.
