In 1851, Cathrine Lloyd (43) of Caernarvonshire and husband Evan Lloyd (40) of Barmouth, landed proprietor, were living in 3 Borthwen Terrace, Dolgelly, Merionethshire. Present were children (born in Barmouth, all unmarried): Catharine (15), scholar, William H. (13), scholar, Anne Jane (10), scholar, Edward H. (9), scholar, Evan (7), scholar, Edmund P. (4), Angharad (1), and two servants Bridget Griffiths (27) of Merioneth, and Ann Morris (15) of Llanaber Merioneth, both unmarried. Two doors away was living [Catherine's father] Edward Humphreys, retired ship master, and his second wife Jane.

Named as a beneficiary in her father's Will (proved 1861), wherein he directs his Trustees to allow his daughter Catherine Lloyd to receive and take the rent issues and profits from Aberdeunant and Hendregerig in the Parish of Llandecwyn after the death of her elder sister Jane Richards. He also gives to his daughter Catherine Lloyd all the timber that may be growing and standing on the said farms called Aberdaunant and Hendregerig at the time of the decease of his wife Jane Humphreys during the lifetime of her the said Catherine Lloyd and Jane Richards with full power for her the said Catherine Lloyd during the lifetime of the said Catherine Lloyd and Jane Richards and for the executors administrators and assigns of the said Catherine Lloyd for the term of two years after the decease of the Survivor of them the said Jane Richards and Catherine Lloyd to enter upon the said farms and lands to cut harvest and carry away the same. He also gives all the Mines and Minerals that may be or will be found upon or under the said farm and lands to William Jones Morris his heirs and assigns Upon Trust to allow the said Catherine Lloyd and her assigns to receive the issues and profits of one undivided half part or share thereof to and for her own use and benefit during the time of her natural life.

In 1861, Catherine Lloyd (52) of Carnarvon, Carnarvonshire, widow, lodging house keeper, was living in Lower Street, Is Mynydd, Dolgelly, Merionethshire. Present were children (unmarried, born in Barmouth): Ann Jane (20), Edward [sic] Price (15), scholar, Angharad (11), scholar.
