In June 1769 Robert Dale was a witness at the marriage of his brother John Dale to Grace Tonkin in Cury.

In 1777 Robert Dale and his brother Thomas were co-executors of their father's will, receiving his estate in Chiverloe, his estate in Trelesken, his money, household goods and other effects.
