  Research Notes:

In his father's Will, written 1783, William was bequested his father's estate in Lydiard Millicent which he would inherit once he reached the age of twenty-one years.

In 1803 William Mundee was a witness at the marriage of his sister Susannah to Bartholomew Horsell.

In 1828 W Mundee and his wife Ann Mundee were witnesses at the marriage of his niece Mary Horsell to Charles Pearce Ponting.

In 1841 William Munder, aged 65, farmer, was living in Lydiard Tregoze. With him were children: Ann (26), Robert (25), John (20), Sarah (19), Martha (15), Ferdinand (14), Elizabeth Sealey (24), Ind.

In 1851 William Mundee, aged 77, born in Broad Hinton, widower, farmer of 126 acres employing 3 labourers, was living on Wickfield Farm, Lydiard Tregoze. With him were children (born in Broad Hinton): Robert (35), unmarried, farmer's son, Elizabeth Sealy (33), widow, John Mundee (30), farmer's son, Martha (27) of Lydiard Tregoze, farmer's daughter

In 1861 William Mundee, aged 88, born in Cotmarsh, widower, was with his son John Mundee on Wickfield Farm Lydiard Tregoze.

(Ann King was christened probably on 11 Oct 1785 in Lydiard Tregoze, Wiltshire, England, died on 30 Apr 1837 in Lydiard Tregoze, Wiltshire, England and was buried on 6 May 1837 in Lydiard Millicent, Wiltshire, England, aged 52 years.)

That this is the correct William Mundee is evidenced by the information provided by the Censuses in conjunction with the details from the monumental inscription, burial record and the newspaper report of his death, even though this means that William's age as reported (probably by his son John with whom he'd been staying at the previous Census) is out by a few years.
