In 1830 Ann Chesterman was a witness at the marriage of her sister Mary to Isaac Tuck.

In 1851 Ann Smith, aged 43, born in Brimhill and husband John Smith, aged 37, born in Broad Hinton, farmer of 137 acres employing 3 men & 2 boys, were living on Cotmarsh Farm, Broad Hinton. With them were children: Mary (11) of Broadhinton, Ellen (6) of Cotmarsh, Julia (3) of Cotmarsh, and [Ann's sister] Mary Tuck (46) of Brimhill, married, farmer's wife.

In 1861 Ann Smith, aged 53, born in Brimhill and husband John Smith, aged 47, born in Broadhinton, farmer of 342 acres employing 10 men & -- boys, were living on Bynoll Farm, Broad Hinton. Present were children (born in Broadhinton): William (20), Elizabeth Ann (18), Ellen (16).

In 1871 Ann Smith, aged 63, born in Brimhill and husband John Smith, aged 57, born in Broad Hinton, farmer of 385 acres employing 10 men & 4 boys, were living on Bynoll Farm, Broad Hinton. Present were daughters (born in Broadhinton, unmarried): Ellen (25), Julia (23).

In 1881 Ann Smith, aged 73, born in Tytherton, widow, farmer of 400 acres employing 8 men & 2 boys, was living on Bynol Farm, Broad Hinton. With her daughters (unmarried): Ellen (36) of Cotmarsh, Julia (33) of Cotmarsh, granddaughter Ellen Amy Henly (5) of Broad Town.
