In Mar 1668/9 Michaell Chesterman of Clyffe Pypard, yeoman, and Francis Phillips, Gent. took inventory of the goods & chattels of Edward Faythorne of Clyffe Pypard, deceased. Administration was granted to the creditors, the aforesaid Michael Chesterman and Francis Phillips, on 21 Apr 1669.
------------------------------
It is likely that this is the same Michael Chesterman who, in 1677, was bequeathed £20 in the Will of Thomas Chesterman of Inner Temple, London, Gent. Thomas refers to Michael as his brother-in-law and in the same sentence made a bequest to his (Thomas's) sister Grace Chesterman. Thomas was buried in Clyffe Pypard, in accordance with his Will, on 28 Dec 1677.
If this identification is correct, then Michael and his wife Grace were cousins of a sort, though the exact relationship is not clear at this stage.

Abstract of the Nuncupative Will of Michael Chesterman of Cleeve Pepper in the County of Wilts, yeoman, dictated on 4 Jan 1690/1. 3
Gives all his goods and chattels to his wife to be disposed of as she thinks fit, except what had come to him from his wife's brother, namely the table and everything in the chamber over the hall, left as a standard to the house and never to be moved, because this is what his brother-in-law desired.
Witnesses: Thomas Foster, Susanna Church, Maud Spackman.
Probate was granted to his widow, Grace Chesterman, on 4 May 1691.
