In 1851 John Miles, aged 23, born in Broad Town, journeyman carpenter, and wife Elizabeth, aged 32, born in Coblars hall were living in Snowhill Broad Hinton. With them was (Elizabeth's) daughter Emily Hunt (12) of Snowhill.
In 1861 John Miles, aged 33, born in Broadtown Cliffe Pypard, master carpenter, and wife Elizabeth, aged 41, born in Broadhinton, carpenter's wife, were living in Snowhill, Broad Hinton. Present was daughter-in-law Emily Hunt (22) of Snowhill, Broad Hinton, lodger Edmund Miles (28) of Broadtown Cliffe Pypard, carpenter & miller.
