Abstract of the Will of Thomas Whitehead of the Borough of Wootton Bassett in the County of Wilts, Butcher, written 27 Jun 1803, proved 20 Jul 1803. 4
Gives, devises & bequeaths to his wife Ann Whitehead his freehold dwelling house, new erected buildings, garden and premises where he now lives in Wootton Bassett, as well as all his personal estate, money, securities for money, book debts, household goods, linnen and plate, live and dead stock, so that she can maintain herself and their raise their children.
After the second marriage or death of his wife, he gives, devises and bequeaths the aforesaid to his eldest son, Thomas Whitehead, and his heirs, with the payment to his other children unprovided for at the the time of his wife's death, such sums of money as his friend James Pike of Hunt Mill in Wootton Bassett thinks fit.
Appoints his wife Ann Whitehead sole executrix of his last will and testament, and after her second marriage or death, he appoints the said James Pike executor in Trust to see his will carried into effect.
