Ann Horsell
- Born: Abt 1749, probably Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire, England
- Married: 20 Apr 1788, Wootton Bassett St. Bartholomew All Saints, Wiltshire, England 1
- Buried: 14 Jan 1812, Wootton Bassett St. Bartholomew All Saints, Wiltshire, England 2
Research Notes:
Ann's parentage is currently a bit of a mystery. An Ann Horsell was christened in Feb 1750/1 in the adjoining parish of Avebury, daughter of John Horsell and Mary, but was buried in the same month.
If Ann was born in Wootton Bassett, I thought she may have been an unrecorded younger daughter of Bartholomew and Mary Horsell. However, this Bartholomew Horsell left a Will in 1783 in which Ann does not appear, which puts a dampener on that notion. A John Horsell had a son William christened in Wootton Bassett in 1742. It is possible Ann born about 1749 was an unrecorded second (or other) child of the said John, but this cannot be proved.
