Abstract of the Will of Richard Bathe of the Parish of Wootton Bassett in the County of Wilts, Yeoman, written 18 Oct 1674, inventory taken 20 Mar 1674/5, will proved 7 May 1675. ⁴

Gives & bequeaths to Patience his wife his house and land in Wootton Bassett for the term of her natural life and after her death to his two daughters Elizabeth and Mary.

Gives & bequeaths to his two daughters Elizabeth and Mary a cow each and . . . . . . .

All the rest of his goods and chattels he gives and bequeaths to his wife Patience whom he makes and ordains sole executrix of his last will and testament.
