In 1774 Lydia Veal was named as a beneficiary in her father's will, to receive £10. Lydia died sixteen months before his will was proved.

Abstract of the Will of Lydia Veale of the Town of Penzance in the County of Cornwall, Widow, written 24 Nov 1774, proved 22 May 1782. 2
Gives to her brother Samuel Borlase, Esquire, and to her kinsman William Veale of Trevayler, Esquire, all her goods, chattels, rights, credits and effects, in trust, to pay one third of her shares in two mines or adventures called Cooks Kitchen and Western? Trevenson in the parish of Illogan, to her daughter Margaret the wife of Richard Hichens, Esquire.
All the rest of her rights and said shares she gives to her other two daughters, namely a moiety to her daughter Anne the wife of Henry Jenkins, Esqr., and a moiety to her daughter Lydia the wife of Cuthbert Baines, Esqr.
Appoints her said trustees Samuel Borlase and William Veale co-executors of her last will and testament.
