Exeter College, matriculated 28 March, 1713, aged 17; B.A. 1716, M.A. 1719, D.C.L. by diploma 13 March, 1766, born at Pendeene 2 Feb., 1695-6, F.R.S. 1751, rector of Ludgvan 1722, and vicar of St. Just 1732, until his death 31 Aug., 1772, author of 'Cornish Antiquities,' brother of Walter 1712. 1

In 1705 William Borlase was a beneficiary of the will of his grandmother Mary Borlase of Pendeen, widow, who left him 20 shillings to buy a gold ring.
