Abstract of the Will of Mary Borlase, Widow, Relict of John Borlase of Pendeen, Gentleman, written 27 Dec 1704, proved 24 Oct 1705. 4

Gives £40 to her grandchildren Mary and Isabella Pearce.

Gives £3 to her grandchild Margaret Pendarves the daughter of her son-in-law Henry Pendarves.

Gives £20 to Elizabeth Borlase, daughter of her son Nicholas Borlase.

Gives to her grandson Walter Borlase the great peace of gold now in her trunk worth £3 10s.

Gives to her daughter(-in-law) Lydia Borlase wife of her son John Borlase her great gold ring and one piece of black flowered silk, a pair of cotton blankets and a pair of fine holland sheets.

Gives to her three daughters Mary Pendarves, Margery Neale and Katherine Borlase her woollen and linen clothes, to be equally divided among them.

Gives £5 each to her daughters and daughters-in-law, sons and sons-in-law, to buy them mourning.

Gives 20 shillings each to her grandchildren William Borlase, George Borlase, John Borlase, Lidia Borlase, Elizabeth Borlase, Mary Borlase and Katherine Borlase, to buy them gold rings.

Gives 20 shillings to her goddaughter Cheston Gubs*.

Gives 20 shillings to her maid Elizabeth Symons.

Gives to her daughter Katherine the chest of drawers in her chamber.

Gives to her son Richard Borlase a broad piece of gold to buy him a ring.

Gives £20 to her son Nicholas Borlase.

Gives £10 to her son George Borlase.

Appoints her son John Borlase and daughter Katherine Borlase co-executors of her last will and testament, giving them all her goods and chattels.
