Research Notes:
A number of John Davies were born in Crowan between 1799 and 1802, and at least three of them married in Crowan in the 1820s and 1830s. Probably this John married Jane Hill on 3 Jun 1837 in Crowan; one of the witnesses to the marriage was Henry Williams who, if the same person, was his brother-in-law (who married John's sister Mary). John, Jane and their three children emigrated to U.S.A. about 1847.
