Writing his Will in Jun 1853 Stephen Britcher of Maidstone names as beneficiaries his father Stephen Britcher and mother Mercy Britcher of Otham.
At the time of the 1861 England Census Stephen Britcher, age 81, born in Krittenden Kent, widower, ag labourer, was living in Cottage, Gove Farm, Otham, Kent. Farming there was Stephen's son Richard and his family.
