At the time of the 1871 England Census Ellen Bristed, age 18, born in Dalston Middlesex, was with her aunt and uncle Fanny & John Thomas Tullet at 260 Camden Road, St. Pancras London.
At the time of the 1881 England Census Ellen B Tucker, age 28, born in Dalston Middx, married, silk merchant's wife, was at 32 Dulwich Rd., Lambeth London. With her were sons (born in Herne Hill Surrey): Joseph C B (5), scholar, and Clarence H (3). Present also was Ellen's mother, Martha Bristed (50) of London Middx, married, chemist's wife.
At the time of the 1891 England Census Ellen Bower Tucker, age 38, born in Dalston London, and husband Stephen Baker Tucker, age 40, born in Hoxton London, silk merchant dyer printer warehouseman, were living in Broxash, Balham High Rd., Streatham London. With them were children (born in Brixton London): Joseph Charles Baker (15), Clarence Henry (13), and Daisy Mary (9).
At the time of the 1901 England Census Ellen B Tucker, age 48, born in Hackney London, and husband Stephen B Tucker, age 50, born in Hoxton London, public accountant (own account), were living at 101 Amesbury Avenue, Streatham London. Present were children (born in E. Brixton Surrey): Joseph C B (25), wool broker's clerk, Clarence H (23), accountant's clerk, and Daisy M (19), typist.
At the time of the 1911 England Census Ellen Bower Tucker, age 58, born in Hackney London (mother of 3 children), and husband of 35 years Stephen Baker Tucker, age 60, born in Hoxton London, bank accountant, were living at 40 Telford Avenue, Streatham Hill, London. With them were children (born in Brixton, single): Clarence Henry Baker (33), professional vocalist (own account), and Daisy Mary (29), commercial clerk.
In Nov 1926 Ellen Bower Tucker, widow, was granted Probate of her late husband's personal effects.
