At the time of the 1881 England Census Fanny E Bristed, age 29, born in Edmonton Middlesex, unmarried, principal of a school, was living at 4 Clarence Villas, Tottenham Middlesex. With her were sisters Marian Bristed (27) of Edmonton, governness, and Louisa Bristed (23) of Tower Hill, governness.

At the time of the 1891 England Census Fanny E Bristed, age 39, born in Edmonton Middlesex, single, teaching, was living in Clarence Villa, Tottenham Sussex. With her was sister Marian Bristed, teaching.

At the time of the 1901 England Census Emily Bristed, age 49, born in Edmonton Middlesex, single, principal of school, was living at 241 West Green Road, Tottenham Sussex. With her was sister Marian Bristed, principal of school.
