Writing the first codicil to his Will in Nov 1832, Richard Bristed, then of Tottenham Court Road in London, bequeathed £10 to his niece Mary Elizabeth Harris.
Richard's Will was proved in 1844.
At the time of the 1841 England Census Mary Harris, aged about 45, laundress, was living in London Road, Maidstone Kent. With her was son Wm Harris (13).
At the time of the 1851 England Census Mary Harris, aged 56, born in Maidstone Kent, married [sic], was lodging with the family of Thomas & Mercy Medhurst in London Road, Maidstone.
At the time of the 1861 England Census Mary Harris, aged 69, born in Maidstone Kent, widow, schoolmistress, was living in London Road, Maidstone Kent.

Mary married Thomas Harris, son of John Harris and Anne Smith, on 12 Oct 1813 in Holy Cross, Bearsted, Kent, England. (Thomas Harris was christened on 1 Dec 1771 in All Saints, Loose, Kent, England and was buried there on 13 Aug 1833, aged 60 years.)
