Abstract of the Will of Jasper Maskelyne of Wootton Bassett in the County of Wilts, Gentleman, written 21 Mar 1835, proved 12 Jun 1844. 4
Gives and devises his messuages, cottages, lands, tenements & hereditaments to his wife Lucy. If his wife should die within his lifetime, he wills the same to [his nephew] Jasper Rumboll Maskelyne of Littlecot Farm in the parish of Hillmarton in co. Wilts, dairyman, and to Thomas Rumboll Warman of Wootton Bassett, grocer, in trust, to sell, and from the proceeds, invest £500 in Public Funds of Great Britain, and pay the interest and dividends to his brother Timothy Maskelyne for the term of his natural life. The residue he directs his trustees to divide into twelve equal parts, and to pay shares to his brother Edmund Maskelyne, to his sister Esther Hawkins, to Anna Maria Ellis the daughter of his sister Martha, to his sister Anne Yorke, to his wife's sister Ann Warman, to his wife's sister Elizabeth Buckland, to his wife's sister Sarah Rumboll widow of Thomas Rumboll, to his wife's sister Martha Large, to his wife's brother Bryan Rumboll, to his wife's sister Mary Harly King, to his wife's sister Hannah Henly, to his wife's sister Frances Henly Rumboll, to Elizabeth Rumboll Buckland daughter of his wife's sister Jane Bridges, and to John Nevil Maskelyne son of his brother Nevil.
All his household goods and furniture his gives to his wife Lucy.
Appoints Jasper Rumboll Maskelyne and Thomas Rumboll Warman as co-executors of his last will and testament.
