With them were children: Percy (7) of Berwick, William (4) of Hellingly, and Albert (1) of Hellingly.
At the time of the 1911 England Census Harriett Noakes, age 35, born in Barcombe Sussex (mother of 6 children), and husband of 15 years Alfred Noakes, age 39, born in Hellingly Sussex, postman, were living in South View, Hellingly Sussex. With them were children: Percy (17) of Berwick Sussex, farm labourer, and born in Hellingly: Willie (14), groom, domestic gardener, Bertie (11), school, Doris (9), Beatrice (6), and Lena (4).
