At the time of the 1891 England Census Clara Dabson, age 18, born in Ringmer Sussex, and husband Herbert Dabson, age 21, born in Ringmer, agricultural labourer, were living in Beechwood Cottages, St. John Lewes Sussex. Clara's parents were living nearby.

At the time of the 1901 England Census Clara Dabson, age 28, born in Ringmer Sussex, and husband Herbert Dabson, age 31, born in Ringmer, milkman on farm, were living in Pay Gate, Laughton Sussex. With them were children: Herbert J (9) of Lewes, Harriet (8) of Lewes, Florence (6) of Lewes, and Alfred (1) of Laughton. Visiting was [Clara's sister] Elsie Budgen (20) of Barcombe.

In Apr 1906 Clara Dabson was present at the marriage of her sister Emily Eliza Budgen to Thomas Bennett in Mayfield Sussex.

At the time of the 1911 England Census Clara Dabson, age 38, born in Ringmer Sussex (mother of 4 children), and husband of 20 years Herbert Dabson, age 41, born in Ringmer, carter for brewery, were living at 23 Timber Yard Cottages, South Street, St. Thomas a Becket, Cliffe, Lewes Sussex. With them was son Alfred (11) of Laughton, school.

In Apr 1922 Clara Dabson was present at the marriage of her son Alfred Dabson to Olga Wright in Hove Sussex.
