At the time of the 1911 England Census Henry James Blackley, aged 31, born in Southwark, iron fitter in a foundry, and wife of 9 years Esther Mary, aged 29, born in Walworth (mother of 4 children), were living at 67 St. Peters Road, Lower Edmonton. With them were children Evelyne Violet (8) of Bermondsey, Elsie Maude (6) of Edmonton Middx, James Leslie (4) of Edmonton, and Olive Margarett (1) of Edmonton.
In the 1939 Register Henry J Blackley (b. 15 Feb 1880), widower, cons. iron fitter, was living at 67 St Peter's Road, Edmonton, Middlesex. At the same address were [children, all single] Eveline V Blackley (b. 30 Oct 1902), charge . . . recapping elec lamp, Elsie M Blackley (b. 3 Apr 1904), unpaid domestic duties, James L Blackley (b. 18 Jul 1906), fish porter, and Frederick W Blackley (b. 22 Apr 1914), electro plater.
In June 1952 Henry James Blackley, shopfitter, was granted Probate of the personal effects of his late brother Frederick William Blackley of Edmonton.
