In the 1939 Register Arthur Starnes (b. 14 Dec 1884), widowed [sic], wholesale tobacconist, motor driver, was living at 82 Tivoli Crescent Brighton Sussex. At the same address were [father] George H Starnes (b. 26 Jul 1864), cowman (pensioner), and [sister-in-law] Rose L Starnes (b. 15 Jan 1896), widowed, unpaid domestic duties.
