In 1810 Jane Bristed received £2,000 from her late father's Will.
In 1819 Jane Bristed was the sole executrix and residuary legatee of her mother's Will, receiving her mother's freehold tenement, closes of land, hereditaments and premises in Broadmarston in co. Somerset, and £600 of Old South Sea annuities the interest and dividends from which to be paid to Jane's sisters Prudence Jane the wife of Mr. James Redit and Hester the wife of Mr. Benjamin Bowring.
Writing his Will in December 1819, James Redit of St. Andrew Holborn, gent., bequeathed to his sister-in-law Jane Bristed her choice of his wife's jewels and trinkets left in his possession.

Bequeaths £1,000 to her brother John Bristed.
Bequeaths £100 to her half-sister Mrs. Redit.
Bequeaths to her sister Mrs. Bowring her silver teapot for her use during her life, whereafter Jane bequeaths it to her god-daughter Emma Sorrell?.
Bequeaths to her brother John Charles Bristed all her household goods and furniture, plate, linen, books and china, along with whatever money she has in the bank.
The residue of her personal estate she bequeaths to her friend Christopher Arden of Dorchester, surveyor, and to her brother John Charles Bristed, appointing them co-executors of her will.
