LITTLE HORSTED.
FARMER'S DAUGHTER'S DEATH.—
The death took place suddenly on Friday of Mrs. Emily Funnell, at the age of 24 years. She was the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Carey, of Old Farm. Mr. Funnell, who is the son of a well-known Isfield resident, is serving in France and it was some time after his joining the forces that the deceased gave up her home to come and help with the work on Old Farm. On Friday morning she milked the cows as usual and afterwards cycled to Isfield, but later when leading the horses in the field, complained of her head and had to be carried home, expiring very soon afterwards as the result of apoplexy. She leaves a daughter of about four years of age. The funeral took place at the Parish Church on Monday and was the occasion of a marked display of sympathy by a congregation which completely filled the church....
