In 1763 William Cramp was co-executor of his father's Will.

Writing his Will in May 1770 John Smith 'the Elder' of Bexhill nominated William Cramp of Pepplesham in the parish of Bexhill, farmer, co-executor of his Will.

In February 1780 William Cramp of Pepplesham in the parish of Bexhill, farmer, renounced executorship of the Will of John Smith 'the Elder' of Bexhill, shortly following the death of the other executor, John Smith 'the Younger' of Bexhill. He requested that Administration of the goods & chattels of John Smith 'the Elder' be passed to his widow and relict, Sarah Smith, or to whomever she thinks fit. Witnesses to the renunciation were Isaac Lansdell, his brother-in-law, and Joseph Acton, public notary. 4

Abstract of the Will of William Cramp of Bexhill in the County of Sussex, Farmer, written 3 Mar 1794, proved 1 Jun 1799. 5

Devises to his eldest son Benjamin Cramp and to his friend John Wood of Bexhill, yeoman, in Trust, his freehold tenement called Saint Marys, with the stables, gardens, in the parish of St. Mary Bulverhythe in the Liberty of the town and port of Hastings, which he lately purchased from William White, to sell the said premises for the best price and to apply the money as follows....

Gives and bequeaths £50 each to his son-in-law Thomas White of Eastbourne, husband of his daughter Rachel deceased, to his daughter Elizabeth Cruttenden wife of Edmund Cruttenden of Ninfield, and to his daughter Frances Stevens the wife of Samuel Stevens of Bexhill.

Gives and devises to his son Benjamin Cramp all his messuage, barn buildings, lands and premises called Redhams in Clynchgreen in the parish of Bexhill which Benjamin now occupies.

Appoints his son Benjamin Cramp and his friend John Wood co-executors of his last will and testament, paying John Wood 5 guineas for his efforts.
