Writing his Will in July 1668 Edmund Maskelyne of Dunnington in Wootton Bassett bequeathed to his eldest son Giles Maskelyne his leasehold estate of 99 years in Donington [Dunnington].

Abstract of the Will of Giles Maskelyne of Wootton Bassett in the County of Wilts, Gent., written 13 May 1687, proved 30 Apr 1688. 3
Gives & bequeaths his black gelding colt to his brother-in-law John Parham, gent.
Gives & bequeaths to his sister-in-law Lydia Parham a little box which he had from his late wife.
Gives 40 shillings to the poor of Wootton Bassett.
Gives & bequeaths 40 shillings to his sister-in-law Elizabeth Webb.
Makes the said John Parham a residuary legatee with the intent that John pays his mother Mary Maskelyne* an annuity of £15. Directs that, following the death of his mother, he bequeaths the residue of the legacy to his son Neville Maskelyne.
* Mary was the second wife of Giles' father Edmund.
Appoints the said John Parham and William Dyer of Eascott as guardians of his son.
