Abstract of the Will of Ezekiel Bristed, Clerk, Rector of Meeching in the County of Sussex, written 3 Mar 1727, codicil 6 Mar 1727, proved 20 Mar 1727. 7
Gives and bequeaths to his son John Bristed his books and household goods.
Gives to his son-in-law Joseph Wildbore his books of Phisick.
Gives to his youngest son Nathaniel Bristed his law books, a bed with the linen and furniture associated with it, and a silver tankard.
Gives to his only daughter Elizabeth now the wife of Joseph Wildbore his best bed and the linen and furniture associated with it.
Gives to his two grandchildren a third share of all his money left after the clearing of his debts and expenses, to share equally.
Gives a third share each of the said money to his son Nathaniel and to his daughter Elizabeth to buy themselves annuities.
He wills that his grandchildren, the sons of his son John, will have their legacies at his decease.
