At the time of the 1891 Wales Census Richard Melpham [sic], age 34, born in Poplar Middlesex, boiler maker, and wife Annie, age 32, born in Poplar, were living at 12 Seven Oaks St., Canton Glamorgan Wales. With them were sons William (8) of Poplar, and Richard (2) of Canningtown Essex.
At the time of the 1901 Wales Census Richard Mepham, age 42, born in Bromley, boiler maker, and wife Annie, age 40, born in London, were living at 13 Guthrie St., Barry, Glamorgan. With them were children William (18) of London, boiler maker's apprentice, Richard (12) of London, Andrew (9) of London, Fredk. (6) of Cardiff Glamorgan, and Annie (2) of Barry Glamorgan.
At the time of the 1911 Wales Census Richard Mepham, age 53, born in London East End, boiler maker (rivetter), and wife of 29 years Annie, age 52, born in London East End (mother of 8 children, 3 deceased), were living at 198 Barry Rd., Cadoxton Glamorgan. With them were children: Richard junr. (22) of London (Poplar), warmer (rivets), Andrew (19) of Glamorgan (Grangetown), warmer (rivets), Frederick (16) of Barry Dock Glamorgan, council labourer, Annie (12) of Barry Dock, and niece Violet Mepham (14) of Barry Dock, domestic servant.
