At the time of the 1881 England Census Kate E Parker, age 10, born in Ringmer Sussex, was with her parents in Ringmer Rd., Ringmer Sussex.

At the time of the 1901 England Census Kate Pelham, age 37, born in Ringmer, and husband Ephraim Pelham, age 39, born in Ringmer, bricklayer, were living in New Town, Ringmer Sussex. With them were children (born in Ringmer): Sidney (15), carpenter's apprentice, Nelson (14), Beatrice (11), Harry (7), Linda (5), Dora (2) and Hector (2 m). Also present was Kate's father George Parker (89) of Emsworth Hants, widower, naval pensioner.
