Research Notes:
William of Malmesbury names "Wimund son of Wihtlaf king of the Mercians". "Wigmund filius regis" subscribed a charter of "Wiglaf rex Merciorum" dated 831. According to Ingulph's Chronicle of the Abbey of Croyland, Wigmund predeceased his father and was buried at Croyland abbey. 1
