A writ was issued 2 Oct 10 Edw. III. [1336] following the death of Mirabel's first husband Hugh de St. John [Hugh de Sancto Johanne] for his Inquisition Post Mortem, in which a "writ of dedimus potestatum to Robert Houel to receive the attorneys of Mirabel, late the wife of the said Hugh, whom Thomas de Aspale has now married, for seeking and receiving her reasonable dower, 10 March, 11 Edward III. [1337]
Assignment of dower to the said Mirabel by agreement between William Trussel, keeper of the said Hugh's lands and tenements, and Thomas Daspale and the said Mirabel his wife (undated), viz.—
Southampton. The manors of Warneford, Chauton, and Ludesshote.
Kent, Cambridge and Hertford. All [the said Hugh's] knights' fees in the said counties.
[Southampton.] The advowsons of the church of Warneford, and of the free chapel situated in the manor of Chauton"

Fees in reversion which Mirabilla, late the wife of Hugh de Sancto Johanne, whom Thomas de Aspele has now married, holds in dower, to wit:—
Five fees and a moiety of a fee in Kyngesdon, Tong
and elsewhere which the heirs of Giles de Badlesmere hold, extended at £60.
A moiety of a fee in Hamme which William de Clynton
holds, extended at 10 marks.
A moiety of a fee in Pysyng near Dover which the
abbot of St. Radegund's holds, extended at 10 marks.
A fee in Bettreshangre near Sandwich which Stephen
de Orlaston holds, extended at 100s.
A fee and a fourth part of a fee in Morston near
Sydyngbourn and in Hurst near Faversham, which
John de Morston holds, extended at 25 marks.
A fee in Bikenore and Pysyng which Roger de Northwold holds, extended at £10.

Philberto and Margaret his wife, eldest sister and heir, Luke de Ponyngges and Isabel his wife, second sister and heir of Edmund, Hugh's son and heir, who died a minor in the king's wardship, made with the assent of the said heirs and parceners and delivered in chancery to be enrolled by Thomas de Wandelesworth, attorney of the said John de Sancto Philberto and Isabel, and by William de Roderham, attorney of Luke and Isabel, on 26 June, 29 Edward III.
