Abstract of the Will of Benjamin Hockin of the Parish of Gwithian in the County of Cornwall, Yeoman, written 30 Jan 1687/8, proved 5 Mar 1687/8. 2

Gives £65 to his eldest daughter Catherine.

Gives £60 to his daughter Ann.

Gives £50 to his daughter Blanch, to be paid to her when she turns sixteen.

Gives to his wife Blanch the house & tenement where he now lives, being formerly her father's tenement, if she chooses to surrender her jointure. If not, then he gives her an annuity of 40 shillings for the term of her natural life.

Gives to his younger son Benjamin all his right in the tenement called Pennance Vean in Gwithian, once he reaches the age of twenty-one years. But if the lives have expired, then after his wife's death he gives him the tenement of Naterow where he the testator now lives and which was formerly the tenement of James Harris.

All the rest of his goods and chattels, lands and tenements, he gives to his wife Blanch and to his son Richard, whom he appoints co-executors of his last will and testament.

Nominates as overseers his brother Thomas Hockin, his brother-in-law James Cock, and his kinsman John Hockin.

Benjamin married Blanche Harris, daughter of James Harry and Susannah, about 1672. (Blanche Harris was christened 28 Nov 1646 in Gwithian, Cornwall and was buried on 6 May 1701 in Gwithian, Cornwall.)
