Marriage Notes:
None of the baptismal records of the children of Francis Vivian show their mother's name, and Francis Vivian's marriage record has yet to be located. However, the evidence points to Francis having married Cordelia Gartrell of Illogan, noting that:
- In December 1727 Cordelia Vyvyan was named as a beneficiary in the will of her mother, Anne Gartrell of Illogan, widow. Anne also named as beneficiaries Cordelia's siblings, including John Gartrell.
- In November 1757 John Gartrell was a witness at the marriage of Henry Vivian, son of Francis, to Mary Carpenter in Phillack Cornwall. A decade later, in November 1767, Cordelia Vivian was named as a beneficiary in the will of her brother John Gartrell of Phillack, who also named 'Mary wife of Henry Vivian' as a beneficiary. 3
- Cordelia Vivian, widow, was buried in Camborne about a year and a half after Francis.
