In 1921 Ethel Josephine Teasdale, aged 29 years 6 months, born in Gateshead, home duties, and husband James Teasdale, age 34 years 9 months, born in Stella Durham, gardener, were living in The Heugh, Sacriston, Witton Gilbert, Durham. With them was son Ronald Victor (1y 6m) of Gateshead.

In the 1939 Register Ethel J Teasdale (b. 31 Dec 1891), unpaid domestic duties, and husband James Teasdale (b. 4 Sep 1886), jobbing gardener (own account), were living at 2 "Sunniside" Alexandra Crescent, Hexham, Northumberland. At the same address were (sons) Sydney Teasdale (b. 16 Oct 1922*), grocer's assistant, and William V Teasdale (b. 5 Feb 1925), grocer's errand boy.
