In 1921 Henry Wadge, aged 38 years 8 months, born in Gateshead on Tyne, coal merchant, and wife Agnes Wadge, aged 34 years 10 months, born in Gateshead on Tyne, were living at 8 Affleck St, Gateshead. With them was daughter Isabella (7y 11m) of Gateshead.
In October 1928 Henry Wadge, coal merchant, was granted Probate of his late father's personal effects.
In the 1939 Register Henry Wadge (b. 30 Oct 1882), coal merchant, furniture remover, motor driver, and wife Agnes Wadge (b. 15 Aug 1886), unpaid domestic duties, were living at 8 Affleck St, Gateshead.

MR. H. WADGE
Mr. Henry Wadge, a well-known Gateshead coal merchant and removal contractor died in the Bensham Hospital on April 4 at the age of 75.
Mr. Wadge who lived at 21 Edendale Terrace, Gateshead, served in the Boer War, the first world war and in the Home Guards in the last war.
He was a member of the committee of the Y.M.C.A., Sutherland Hall, Darby and Joan Club and a member of the Saltwell Bowling Club.
Mr. Wadge was cremated at Birtley Crematorium on April 8 and later the remains were interred at Saltwell Cemetery. He leaves a widow, a son and a daughter.
