Harris, aged 30, born in Corfe Castle, Dorsetshire, were living in St. Georges Rd., Aldershot (Hants), Surrey. With them were brother Arthur V. Harris (31) of Ilfracombe, watchmaker, father-in-law James Hibbs (67) of Corfe Castle, retired schoolmaster.

In March 1903 Walter J Harris was present at the marriage of his brother Arthur Vivian Harris to Ethel Mary Gore in Herne Bay, Kent.

In 1911 Walter James Harris, aged 43, born in Ilfracombe, married, ironmonger's shop assistant, was with his father at Cama Villa, 5 Hostle Park, Ilfracombe.
